Friends and family can get deals as well.  Enjoy a night out at the ballgame and come over to our table and introduce yourself.  Information about our free services will be available.

Our staff and board are excited to announce the date of our live and in-person annual Casino Night Fundraiser.  The event will be held on Saturday Feb 12th at IMG Golf & County Club.  The theme of this year’s event will be Hearts & Diamonds.  Along with live casino action, there will be entertainment, fine dining, and opportunities to bid on exciting auction items.  For those who leave their Valentine’s Day shopping to the last minute, there will be plenty of items to for purchase to impress and spoil your significant other.    There may even be a few diamonds available!   We Care Manatee relies on this annual event to support our organization throughout the year.  Our planning committee is still looking for volunteers. Please call our office if you would like to help with planning or have auction items to contribute.  Event details will be updated as planning continues.

We Care Manatee continues to plan Breast Health events throughout the year. Our next event will be on Tues Sept 21st at Manatee Diagnostic Center.  A physician’s order will be required. Anyone in need of a screening mammogram can contact our office for information.  A second event is being planned at Bowes Imaging, dates to be announced.

We Care Manatee can assist with breast diagnostic testing for low-income uninsured residents of Manatee County all throughout the year due to a generous grant from Sarasota Breast Health.  Studies show that many women have deferred routine testing during the pandemic. Routine mammograms save lives.

Finally, as the new Delta variant of Covid-19 takes hold in Manatee County, I encourage all who have delayed getting vaccinated to take advantage of the free vaccination sites available in Manatee County.  For young people who are not eligible for vaccination, please continue to practice safe habits at home like washing hands and wearing a mask in public places.  If you have questions about breast health services or vaccine locations near you, please contact our office at 941-755-3952.
