A New Beginning and A Fond Farewell

A New Beginning and A Fond Farewell

This will be my last post as Executive Director of We Care Manatee.  Please welcome Annie Breitinger in her new role of Associate Executive Director.   I will remain in the office to assist in the transition as she takes over my responsibilities over the next couple of months. Annie brings 8 years of experience working with We Care Manatee, and a commitment to our mission and to this community.  As a local resident, she understands the needs of our clients and our providers and has the connections and resources to bring this organization to the next level!  I will remain for a short while to ensure that Annie has all the tools she needs to enable We Care Manatee to continue to serve our clients and partners.  I am happy to leave this organization in good hands as I (semi) retire and take it easy for a while.  Please welcome Annie to our organization.

I am so excited to introduce myself as the new Associate Executive Director of this great organization.  I am a longtime supporter of We Care having been on the board of directors for 8 years.  When the opportunity arose to move into the Associate Executive Director role I jumped at the chance.  I previously worked as a health care attorney at Blalock Walters, P.A. in Bradenton so my name may already be familiar to a few of our outstanding physicians and medical practices.  I will be working closely with Kathleen so we can combine our efforts for the benefit of We Care.

Our next Free Mammogram Screening Event is coming up fast! This event is for uninsured women aged 40-64 who live in Manatee County.  Appointment and physician orders are required.

Everyone entering Manatee Diagnostic Center is required to wear a mask and will undergo a health screening.

We Care Manatee is also planning to hold our in-person major fundraising event in 2022.  The Hearts & Diamonds Casino Night is planned for Feb 12, 2022.  We are accepting donations of Silent Auction items and sponsorships.  Details will follow in next month’s newsletter.  Please watch for our Save the Date cards.  We look forward to getting together safely in 2022 in support of the services provided by We Care Manatee to our most vulnerable citizens.
